The WWF No Plastic in Nature 2030 Strategy sets out a comprehensive blueprint to stop environmental plastic pollution by transforming the global plastics economy from a linear ‘take-make-waste’ model into a safe, circular system. With over 30,000 tonnes of plastic leaking into oceans daily and virgin plastic production exceeding 460 million tonnes annually, current waste management measures remain insufficient to stem the tide. Grounded in three core pillars: Reduce, Redesign, and Circulate, this strategic roadmap bridges science, policy, and industry to advocate for a legally binding Global Plastic Pollution Treaty, scale reuse systems, mobilise sustainable finance, and ensure a just transition for informal waste workers worldwide.
