This study captures learnings from a range of PSC pilot interventions conducted between 2018 and 2024 from five countries in East and Southeast Asia where we have had some of the longest history of engagement: China, Indonesia, the Philippines, Thailand, and Viet Nam. However, the PSC programme has continued to expand globally and this study does not cover the full extent of PSC work. This package has been structured as a living resource — designed to be expanded over time to include case studies from additional countries and a broader range of solutions as the initiative grows.
The study focuses on the following key questions:
- What were the main types of solutions or approaches taken to promote circular economy and/or address plastic leakage reduction?
- Which worked well and why? Which did not work well and why?
- Which solutions or approaches have the potential for scale and impact, and why?
