How effective are Jakarta’s TPS 3R facilities in reducing waste and supporting a circular economy? WWF-Indonesia’s latest study assesses the performance of 20 TPS 3R (Tempat Pengolahan Sampah Reduce, Reuse, Recycle) facilities across Jakarta, examining governance, operations, financing, and community participation. The findings highlight both good practices and persistent challenges, providing recommendations to strengthen community-based waste management and reduce pressure on increasingly constrained landfill capacity.
