Through the story of a young girl named Mina who confronts the real-world hazards of open waste burning, toxic air, trapped wildlife, and storm drain flooding, the book provides a compelling narrative paired with interactive learning activities. By combining narrative storytelling with practical waste segregation guides, reflection sheets, and educational games, this resource equips young readers to adopt sustainable waste management habits, such as reducing single-use plastics and sorting general, hazardous, organic, and recyclable waste, to protect both public health and local ecosystems.
