Guide to Reduce Plastic Waste in School: An Education Program in Hue City

This document was compiled within the framework of the project “Hue – Plastic Reduction City in Central Vietnam” (TVA project) of the World Wide Fund for Nature in Vietnam (WWF-Vietnam) with contributions of time and expertise from many individuals and organizations.

Hue City has developed a plan to raise awareness, change behavior, and respond to single-use plastic products and plastic waste. A specific task of this plan is to integrate the topic of plastic waste pollution into educational content at all levels through training materials and teacher training. To support teachers in performing these tasks, within the framework of the TVA project, WWF-Vietnam, in collaboration with the Project Management Board and the Department of Education and Training of Hue City, has developed a reference document for teachers. This document guides the integration of plastic waste reduction and waste classification at source into the official general education curriculum.
