Mystery on Big Island

For the last decade, plastic pollution has become one of the biggest challenges for our environment. Our biodiversity, natural habitats, and the lives of many creatures, especially those living in the oceans and on islands, are at risk.

To commemorate World Environment Day and World Children’s Day, WWF-Viet Nam produced the “Mystery on Big Island” comic for children around the world. Diving into the issue of plastic waste plaguing the environment today, the comic not only brings happiness and fun, but also education and awareness to stir the environmental warrior in everyone!

This comic book is an adventure of the junior detective team of Chau-Binh-An on a journey to discover the mystery of strange plastic creatures appearing on Big Island. Imagine a spider with plastic-straw legs crawling around or a fish with a big styrofoam mouth swimming in nearby waters! This calls for the Junior Detective Team to find out what’s behind these strange happenings and return the peace to Big Island! The team hopes to bring lots of joy and knowledge about plastic pollution issues so that young readers can understand their roles and act for a better world.
