    THE PROBLEM

Over 1 million plastic bottles are purchased every minute and nearly 80% of these end up in our landfills and oceans.

    THE SOLUTION

Tap is a mobile app that maps water refill stations, both public water fountains and participating businesses that permit free tap water refills in store. You just open the app and within seconds you’ll find the closest place to refill your water bottle.

Tap’s Refill Station network is partly made up of partnerships with coffee shops and fast-casual restaurants, while also showing you best public places to refill your water bottle around the world. Whether a drinking fountain or a filtered water ATM, you’ll be sure to find it on Tap.

By becoming a Refill Station, businesses proudly welcome new customers into their establishment to refill their water bottles, increasing foot traffic and potential new customer sales.

    COMPETING SOLUTIONS

Existing solutions include public water fountains, but mapping public and private refill stations (with branded partnerships) across cities is a unique feature of Tap.

    CASE STUDY EXAMPLES

Tap currently has over 35,000 Refill Stations in 30 countries and 7,300 cities including Los Angeles, San Francisco, New York, Chicago, Austin, San Diego, Boston, Toronto, Vancouver, Halifax, Ottawa, Montreal, London, Sydney and more.

Nice app and userfriendly, but public waterstations not included

User friendly app, but needs extension to public water taps. According to the app I need 3 hours walking to the nearest tap, but on public site 'drinkwaterkaart.nl' there are several options within a 10 minutes walk.
